I must say it was nice not having a love triangle in this book. And the villians are good. You hate them, they are evil and they love it. The Trolls make a drug that they sell to faes and humans alike. They kidnap people and eat them. They are what you'd expect from a troll.

Troll of Derby was something very different, and gave the fairy world a whole new perspective! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for something a little different, a strong leading female character, and who doesn't mind Deb's sassy comments!

The author, Red Tash, has a great writing style. She takes everything you know about fairies and trolls and reinvents it with a modern twist. For example, only 1% of trolls live under bridges. The 1%! There’s a sense of humor throughout the book too, which helps break up some of the darkness.
